Why did we build Oxxtail?
We didn't build Oxxtail because we read a market report.
We built it because we live the experience — the anxious Google searches before a trip, the reliance on word of mouth, the uncertainty of whether a restaurant or a destination would welcome us as Black travelers.
For too many years we’ve had to live with the reality that no other platform had bothered to address our problem.
Therefore, we decided to fix the problem, and build the platform.

Lawrence Edmondson
CEO
Lawrence is a dynamic thought leader, and technology executive with three decades of experience helping brands challenge convention through innovation. He has worked alongside some of the most influential names in media, advertising, and technology.
Lawrence has held leadership roles at advertising agencies and software companies, including CTO for Barbarian, the premier Advertising Agency within Samsung's Cheil network, Senior VP of Technology for media mogul Gary Vaynerchuk's VaynerMedia, and Engineering Manager at Squarespace.
Throughout his career, Lawrence has led award-winning work, including Pepsi Refresh (Bronze Cyber Lion - Cannes Lions) and the first-of-its-kind Hello Baby suite of apps for Pampers.
Lawrence’s thought leadership has been featured in Forbes, AdWeek, AdAge and he has been an active speaker and panelist.

Celine Edmondson

Celine "BOOM" Edmondson is a social media influencer, content creator, choreographer, and cultural tastemaker whose career sits at the intersection of entertainment, community, and brand. As Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of OXXTAL, she brings a rare combination of creative vision and authentic community influence to one of travel tech's most exciting new platforms.
Holding a BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts and represented by United Talent Agency, Celine has built a reputation as one of the most dynamic creative forces in her field. As Assistant Coach of the NBA's Brooklynettes Dance Team, she has cultivated a deep understanding of community-building, performance excellence, and brand identity at the highest level of professional sports entertainment.
Her performance credits include global stages alongside Maluma, Meghan Trainor, BLACKPINK, and DJ Khaled, while her choreography work spans Lil Kim, Remy Ma, and Lola Brooke. Most recently, she starred as a choreographer on Netflix's Dance 100, expanding her reach to audiences worldwide.
At Oxxtail, Celine channels her platform, her passion for culture, and her instinct for authentic storytelling into building the travel community Black people have always deserved.

Connie is a seasoned operations executive with more than 25 years of distinguished experience leading organizational transformation across both public and private sector technical consulting firms. Her career includes pivotal leadership roles at industry leaders such as DXC Technology and The MITRE Corporation, where she consistently delivered operational excellence at scale.
Known for her ability to translate strategy into execution, Connie partners closely with senior leadership to streamline complex operations, enhance performance, and drive measurable business outcomes. She brings a disciplined, data-driven approach to building efficient systems, aligning teams, and enabling sustainable, enterprise-wide growth.
Connie is recognized for simplifying the complex—cutting through operational friction to create clarity, accountability, and momentum. Her leadership style blends strategic insight with practical execution, empowering organizations to scale with confidence.
