OXXTAIL ("we," "our," or "us") is a travel community platform built to help travelers discover, share, and book welcoming experiences. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Account Info Name, email address, profile photo, and username when you register.
Location Data Approximate or precise location when you search destinations or tag posts, with your permission.
Travel Content Photos, reviews, ratings, safety scores, and trip details you share in the community.
Usage Data Screens viewed, features used, search queries, and interaction timestamps.
Device Info Device model, OS version, IP address, and push notification token.

Core Features Powering the Feed, Explore, Search, and Booking experiences.
Personalization Recommending destinations and content relevant to your travel history.

Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
Service Providers Cloud infrastructure, and analytics partners operating under strict data agreements.
Community Members Reviews you publish are visible to other OXXTAIL users per your privacy settings.
Legal Requirements When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our community.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.
Your Rights
Access Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by emailing a request to info@oxxtail.com
Correction Update inaccurate information directly in Settings or by contacting us.
Deletion Delete your account and associated data from Settings > Account > Delete Account.
Portability Export your data in a machine-readable format upon request by emailing a request to info@oxxtail.com
Opt-Out Opt out of marketing communications at any time via email preferences or in-app notifications settings.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest), strict access controls, and regular security audits. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication.
Children's Privacy
OXXTAIL is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately at info@oxxtail.com.
Policy Changes
We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
